Tania Lukic-Marx, a world renowned accordion concert artist was 5 times Yugoslav National Champion and studied for 7 years at the Kiev Conservatorium of Music in Ukraine with the famous Professor Vladimir Besfamilnov. She completed her Post Graduate studies, Master of Arts in 1990.

Tania has excelled in international accordion competitions, highlighted with a third place at the Klingenthal International Competition for Soloists in 1986 and second place in the 1988 Coupe Mondiale International Solo Championship. The only Yugoslav piano accordionist to achieve such impressive results.

Now an Australian citizen residing in Sydney, Tania Lukic-Marx, Australia's foremost concert artist has continued performing and adjudicating internationally. She has made a concert tour (with Fredrich Lips and Viacheslav Semionov of Russia) in the Peoples Republic of China (which has
since been televised several times), several concert tours to New Zealand and previous to moving to Australia, concerts in St Petersburg, Moscow, Croatia, Slovenia and Yugoslavia.

Today, Tania probably has more accordion pupils than any other teacher in Australia and she is also heavily involved with accordion activities as the President of the Australian Accordion Teachers Association Inc which runs the annual Australian International Accordion Championships in May every year.

Pupil Paula Harris won the Australian Accordion International solo title in 2000 and 2001. At the ATG, she was first in the open solo class and 2nd in the entertainment class. At the AAA she was 1st in the open solo class and a number of Tania's students have enjoyed competition successes.
